Part 1: Setting Up a Wallet to Require Approval

Wallets can be configured to require approval before any transaction can proceed. When a wallet is set to "Approval Only", any transaction that uses that wallet (either as a sender or receiver) must be approved by a user with the "Approver" or "Admin" role before the transaction can be completed.

Steps:

  1. Log in to your N3XT account.

  2. Navigate to Wallets: In the main left-hand navigation menu, click "Settings", then select "Wallets".

  3. Select a wallet: Click on the wallet you want to configure.

  4. Enable Approval Only: Find the "Approvals Only" toggle in the wallet settings and turn it on (toggle should slide to the right).

Note: Once enabled, any transaction using this wallet will require approval from an Approver or Admin, regardless of the initiating user's permission level.

Part 2: Approving or Denying Requests

When a user initiates a transaction (such as a payment, transfer, or payment request) and selects an "Approval Only" wallet, the transaction will be paused and require approval. Users with the "Approver" or "Admin" role will receive an email notification about the pending request.

To approve or deny a request:

  1. Log in as an Approver or Admin.

  2. Navigate to Approvals: In the main left-hand navigation menu, click "Approvals".

  3. View pending approvals: You'll see all pending approval requests listed with a status of "Requested".

  4. Review the transaction: Click on a transaction to view its details.

  5. Make a decision: Click either "Approve" or "Decline".

  • If approved: The transaction status will change to "Approved" and the transaction will proceed.

  • If denied: The transaction status will change to "Denied" and the transaction will be cancelled.

Note: The transaction will only proceed if approved. Denied transactions will not execute and funds will not be moved.
