N3XT NDD FAQ
What is NDD?
NDD, or the N3XT Digital Dollar, is the public on-chain representation of the USD your organization has tokenized, and moved to a lockbox. NDD is backed 1:1 by your N3XT USD funds and requires an NDDID NFT to transact.
Onboarding & Setup
How do I get started with NDD?
Fund your N3XT Account: You must have an approved N3XT account with a minimum regulatory balance of $1,000 USD. Onboarding begins here.
Submit Wallet: Provide your public wallet address(es) via the N3XT app, in the “Settings>Wallets” section.
Wallet Verification: Prove ownership and give your wallet a nickname for the platform. Your wallet submission will be reviewed within 1-3 business days.
NDDID NFT: Once approved, N3XT will mint an NDDID NFT to your wallet. This acts as your personal "digital passport" to the N3XT network.
How do I see my NDD token balance in my public wallet (e.g., MetaMask)?
Once NDD is in your wallet, it should appear under the "Tokens" or "Assets" tab. If it does not appear automatically, you can manually add the NDD token contract address (available in our documentation) to your wallet’s token list.
Why can’t I use my Coinbase exchange wallet?
Exchange wallets are custodial - the exchange controls the keys, not you. NDD requires you to control your own non-custodial wallet so we can verify it and mint an NDDID NFT directly to your specific address.
Which wallets are supported?
Our platform is compatible with the entire Ethereum ecosystem. You can use any ERC-20 compliant wallet. While we recommend industry standards like MetaMask or Rabby for the best experience, any self-custody wallet, hardware device, or institutional provider will work.
Do you custody my keys?
No. N3XT is non-custodial. You maintain 100% control over your funds, private keys, and recovery phrases at all times.
Self-Reliance: Because we never have access to your keys, we cannot reset passwords or recover lost wallets.
Security Rule: N3XT will never ask you for your PIN, password, or recovery passphrase. The only transaction we will ask you to sign is executed through the N3XT portal. If you are asked to sign any other transaction by "N3XT" it is definitely fraudulent.
Transacting with NDD
How do I move money between USD and NDD?
You use the Tokenize (USD to NDD) and Redeem (NDD back to USD) features in the N3XT app. For security, these actions must be performed while authenticated on the N3XT platform or via the N3XT API.
When are transactions finalized?
Transactions are finalized after 32 block confirmations, which typically takes about 6–7 minutes.
N3XT has defined finality, the time a transaction is considered immutable, as 32 blocks on the Ethereum network. Finality of NDD transactions between public wallets can be defined by clients, but tokenization and redemption actions aren't finalized until the 32 block creation time has elapsed.
How long will it take to see transactions online?
Typically seconds. You can view them on block explorers (like Etherscan) as well as within the N3XT app as soon as they are confirmed on-chain. Please note that the blockchain is outside of our control; network congestion may cause slight delays.
Can I send NDD to other users directly from the N3XT app?
No. All NDD transfers to other participants are initiated directly from your authorized blockchain wallet (e.g., MetaMask), not from the N3XT banking dashboard.
Why can’t I send NDD to a non-N3XT user?
NDD is a Permissioned Token. For a transaction to succeed, the recipient must also hold a valid NDDID NFT.
Transaction Safety: If you attempt to send NDD to an unverified wallet, the transaction will fail or "revert" at the smart contract level.
Verify First: You can verify if a receiving wallet holds a valid NDDID NFT by searching the address on Etherscan or other blockchain explorers before sending.

If I receive NDD, how do I know where it came from?
You can verify the sender via a blockchain explorer, which shows the sender's wallet address. Your internal N3XT transaction history will also provide business-level transaction details.
Who pays for gas fees?
N3XT covers the network gas fees for Tokenizing and Redeeming within our platform. For standard NDD transfers between wallets on the blockchain, you will need to fund your own gas fees (e.g., in ETH).
Troubleshooting & Security
My “Tokenize” button is greyed out. Why?
This is typically a protective measure in the UI. Common reasons include:
Your wallet does not yet have an approved/active NDDID NFT.
You have insufficient funds in your USD account to complete a Tokenization.
I tried to swap NDD on Uniswap and it failed. Why?
NDD is a permissioned token. Swaps on decentralized exchanges like Uniswap will fail unless the liquidity pool and the counterparty are verified with NDDID NFTs. Currently, NDD is intended for use within the verified N3XT network.
I lost access to my wallet or keys. Can you help?
We cannot recover your private keys or seed phrase. However, we can help you transition your N3XT identity to a new wallet.
Login: Login to the N3XT app.
Redeem: Redeem tokens from the wallet in question.
Request Change: Initiate a request to onboard a new public wallet address.
Redeem/Re-issue: Once approved, you can redeem tokens from the old address and tokenize them to your new, secure wallet.
What happens if I am no longer a N3XT client?
If your account is closed, N3XT will burn the NDDID NFT associated with your wallet.
On-Chain Restriction: Because the NFT acts as your permission to transact, its removal means you will no longer be able to send, receive, or move your tokens on-chain.
Redemption: You will also lose access to the N3XT portal and redemption services.
As part of the client off-boarding process, we will burn the NDDID and NDD tokens in your wallets to ensure all your funds are returned to your provided external bank account.
What happens to my NDD if the N3XT platform is temporarily down?
Your NDD exists on the public blockchain. You can still view and use your tokens using any compatible wallet interface. Your N3XT app balance will reconcile automatically once the platform is back online.
Reporting, Privacy & Identification
Will my NDD transactions show up on my monthly banking statement?
Yes. NDD activity is integrated into your banking experience. Transactions will appear alongside your wire and N3XT payment activity in your monthly statements.
Are my personal details available on-chain?
No. The NDDID NFT only indicates that a wallet is "verified." It is a simple "Yes/No" flag. It does not contain your name, address, or any personally identifiable information (PII).
Does the NFT uniquely identify me?
No.
Public Visibility: To the general public or outside observers, the NFT only shows that your wallet is verified. Your real-world identity remains private.
N3XT Network: As with all transactions on the N3XT network the sender / receiver business name is included in your transaction history, NDD transactions will display the same details
