Getting Started with NDD on N3XT

This guide outlines the complete process for setting up your public wallets, verifying ownership, linking them to your N3XT account, and moving funds between your N3XT USD funds and the public blockchain. More general information can be found in the N3XT NDD FAQ.

Understanding the NDD Ecosystem

N3XT allows you to Tokenize (move USD from your N3XT USD account to your wallet as NDD) and Redeem (turn NDD back into USD).

  • Your Money, Your Control: Once you tokenize USD into NDD; these tokens are the public on-chain representation of your USD, held in your non-custodial public wallet (such as MetaMask or Phantom). Because you hold your own private keys, you have total control over your NDD.

  • Freedom of Movement: Because NDD is on a public blockchain, you can send it to any Ethereum wallet with an NDDID NFT, and use it across different devices (desktop or mobile) at any time, 24/7.

  • Network: N3XT NDD can be transacted on the Ethereum Network with other N3XT users’ public wallets.

  • Requirement: You must have an approved and active N3XT account with a minimum regulatory balance of $1,000 USD to begin the wallet verification process. Submissions are typically reviewed within 1–3 business days, if approved, after which your NDDID NFT will be minted to your wallet.

  • Integrated Reporting: All NDD activity is integrated into your monthly banking statements, appearing alongside your standard wire and N3XT transaction activity.

Configure Your Ethereum Wallet

The NDD ecosystem operates on the Ethereum Mainnet. Ensure your Public Wallet is set to the Ethereum Network before proceeding. Use the contract address below to "import" the NDD token. Without this step, your balance may appear as 0.

Be ready to refer to the details below. You will need them to configure your wallet in the following steps.

  • Network: Ethereum

  • Contract Address: 0x1cC8E2C5E93cA2439a8E4FC6C9cD68381267d76F

  • Token Symbol: NDD

Setup Instructions

To view your NDD balance, you must manually import the token contract into your Public Wallet. While every wallet UI differs slightly, the process generally follows these steps:

  • Locate the 'Import Tokens' or 'Custom Token' option.

  • Paste the Contract Address (provided above).

  • The Token Symbol (NDD) and Decimals should auto-populate.

Link Your Wallet to N3XT

To use NDD on a public chain you must link and verify your public wallet within the N3XT platform.

Sign with browser wallet:

  • Navigate to Wallets: In the N3XT App, go to Settings > Wallets.

  • Add Public Wallet: Select Add Public Wallet

  • Choose Proof of Ownership Method

  • Option 1) Sign in with browser wallet: If using a browser wallet, the extension will appear in the list. Select the wallet you want to connect.

    • Authentication: Choose MetaMask, Rabby, or Phantom, Fireblocks or any ERC-20 wallet extension to connect your account.

  • Sign Payload: Sign the request to verify ownership of the wallet. (Image below is an example of a signature request in Metamask).

  • Nickname: Assign a name to the wallet (e.g., "Main MetaMask") and click Add Public Wallet.

  • Option 2) Sign externally and provide signature:

    • Step 1: Get the Payload Add your public wallet address into the field, and download the Payload File provided.

    • Step 2: Sign the File Open your wallet app or hardware device software. Look for a tool called "Sign File" or "Sign Message." Upload or select the file you just downloaded and click Sign.

    • Step 3: Get the Signature Your wallet will process the file and generate a Signature File. Save this new file to your computer.

    • Step 4: Upload & Finish Go back to the N3XT App, upload that Signature File, give the wallet a nickname, and click Complete Registration.

  • Verification & Minting: Your wallet will show as Pending. N3XT is reviewing your wallet, then minting your NDDID NFT. This is your personal 'digital passport' to the N3XT network - without this NFT in your wallet, the blockchain will not allow any NDD transfers.

Tokenize: Moving USD to NDD

Once your wallet is verified and your Identity Token (NDDID NFT) is minted, you can convert your internal USD balance into NDD tokens on the public blockchain.

  • Open Tokenize Menu: Click the Tokenize button on the sidebar menu.

  • Select Wallets: Choose your private, N3XT USD wallet as the sender and your onboarded public wallet as the receiver.

  • Enter Amount: Input the USD amount you wish to tokenize.

  • Confirm: Click Tokenize. The system will deduct the balance from your internal USD wallet and tokenize an equivalent amount of NDD tokens to your public wallet.

Public Chain Transactions

With NDD in your wallet, you can now interact with the public blockchain.

  • Transferring NDD: Use your Ethereum wallet to send NDD to any other address that has also been verified with an NDDID NFT.

  • Gas Fees: You will need ETH to pay for blockchain gas fees. N3XT covers the network gas fees for Tokenizing and Redeeming within our platform. Standard NDD transfers between wallets on the blockchain are the responsibility of the user (paid in ETH).

  • Restrictions: Transactions will only succeed if the recipient wallet also holds a valid NDDID NFT - this is what makes NDD a permissioned token.

Redemption: Moving NDD back to USD

To move funds back from the public chain into the N3XT "closed-loop" system, use the Redemption feature.

  • Initiate Redeem: Click the Redeem button in the N3XT App.

  • Select Direction: Choose your public wallet as the source and your internal USD wallet as the destination.

  • Confirm: Click confirm to finish. This action burns the NDD tokens from your public wallet to reconcile and credit your internal N3XT USD balance.

Note: Redemption actions are finalized after 32 block confirmations on the Ethereum network (approximately 6–7 minutes) before your internal N3XT USD balance is credited

Stay Informed: Tracking & Notifications

The N3XT App ensures you have full visibility into your NDD activity, including transfers that occur "off-platform" between Public Wallets.

  • In-App Alerts: Use the Notification button at the top-right of the N3XT App to see the latest status updates and activity alerts.

  • Transaction History: A full ledger of all your NDD activity is always available in the 'Transactions' field on the left-hand sidebar menu.

  • Email Confirmations: N3XT sends automated email notifications to your business for every transaction, ensuring your team remains informed whenever funds move.
